Gauthier Fils is a textile braid manufacturer, established in the heart of France for more than 150 years, supplying fashion designers, major ready-to-wear brands and clothing industry professionals.
From our braiding workshop, we imagine a wide range of cords, braids, laces, elastics and other products, plain or multicolored, braided from a large number of materials.
Our braids and textile ribbons are 100% Made in France and our passion in the manufacture of custom braids is validated by the ISO 9001 certification and by the EPV label.
Cords and braids
Our core business is trimmings, the manufacture of braids and cords by braiding, for finishing in clothing, decoration or packaging.
From our braiding workshop, we create custom cord and textile braid, but also a wide variety of coloured laces, croquets, soutaches, elastics, mats, rick racks and other products, adapted to all the needs of our customers, of different widths and diameters.
Depending on the objective, we use natural (linen, cotton) or synthetic (polyester, polyamide…) yarns, many of which are available in recycled form, for the manufacture of braids and customized cords.
Woven ribbons
In partnership with Manutex, based in Saint-Chamond (42), we offer custom-made textile ribbon for clothing, packaging, decoration, industry, and more.
We are experts in the main types of weave (taffeta, twill, satin) for the production of woven ribbon in all sizes, drawing on a wide range of materials and colours.
We weave plain or multicoloured ribbons in line with a brand’s graphic design and customised for the most original textile projects.

We offer a wide range of finishes on our braids, cords, ribbons and elastics, to provide you with ready-to-use items.
