Taffeta ribbon

Taffeta ribbon, based on a plain weave or cloth weave, is the most common type of tape and the simplest to make. In this type of weave, even and odd-numbered threads pass in turn over and under the weft, creating a regular weave without a wrong or right side.
There is a wide range of taffeta ribbons, plain weave, with varying degrees of fineness. The grosgrain ribbon belongs to this family. It is characterised by large transverse ribs and has been used in clothing since the 17th century.
Flexible and strong, taffeta ribbon is often used for packaging, leather goods or decorative projects. Depending on its final use, it can be woven from natural materials (linen, cotton, hemp) or synthetic yarns (polyester, polypropylene, kevlar, aramid) for technical uses in industry (strapping, lashing, packaging, lifting, etc.).
In an eco-responsible approach, we also use environmentally friendly materials, such as organic cotton, ecojean and recycled polyester.
We weave taffeta ribbons and straps from 6 to 60mm wide, in the colour of your choice, with the possibility of combining several colours for a customised product, in line with a brand or a creative project.
