Lurex® cord
Lurex® (owned by the company Sildorex) is a polyester yarn, coated with a thin metallic layer. A Lurex® cord has a characteristic metallic appearance, while retaining the qualities of polyester (strength, flexibility, lightness).
With Lurex®, we manufacture in our workshop a wide range of metallic cords, from 1 mm to 15 mm in diameter: gold, silver or copper cords, intended for the sewing, packaging and jewellery markets. Pendants and bracelets, chocolate box cords, bag handles, jacket and parka cords… The uses are numerous for this shiny product !
The combination of different materials and colours with Lurex® makes it possible to create original cords for specific creative projects: black and gold, white and silver, red and gold… We create patterns inside our braided cords, to obtain a unique brand product that is totally in tune with its environment, for glamorous or festive atmospheres.
We also use of recycled Lurex® for eco-friendly and ethical fashion.
